Knowing your Ring Size

Once you have chosen your ideal ring, you need to ensure you are buying the correct size. If you don't know your ring size the most accurate approach is to have your finger measured in-store at a local jeweller. If you are buying a ring for someone else as a gift then try to take one of their commonly worn rings to a jeweller and ask them to determine their size based on the ring.

However, if you would like a quicker (although less accurate) way of determining your own ring-size at home then you can use the method below:

  1. Take a piece of string, paper or thin material and wrap it around the base of your finger.
  2. Mark the material with a pen at the point at which it completes the circle.
  3. Measure the length from the start of the material to the point where you have marked. This gives you your finger circumference, from which you can refer to the size chart provided at the bottom of this page.

Keep in mind that your finger changes in size during the day so it's best to measure it at the end of the day when the finger is at its largest. Heat and cold also affect the size of the finger – heat making them thicker and cold making them thinner.

Ring Resizing

Many of our rings are unique items that have been manufactured in only one size. The advantage of this is that you won't ever find another person wearing the same ring, but it also means that such rings only come in the size advertised. However, not to worry - we can resize any of our existing rings to your required size for a small additional fee of £25. Simply select the size that you would like your ring resized to at checkout - you will find an option available at this point. But before requesting a resizing please be aware of the following important points:

  • If you request a ring resizing we will be happy to accept a return on unworn ladies rings between the sizes of J to Q and men's rings between the sizes of R to W. However, if you wish to resize a ring outside these sizes then please be aware that unfortunately such rings CANNOT BE REFUNDED OR EXCHANGED - this is due to the fact that such sizes are uncommon and resale of these size rings will be difficult. So if you require a resizing outside the sizes of J to Q for a ladies ring or R to M for a men's ring then please be certain that you will keep it before requesting the resizing. If you are unsure then it is recommended that you have the ring resized yourself at your local jeweller once you have received the item and are satisfied with it.

  • The resizing fee of £25 is NON-REFUNDABLE in all cases, regardless of whether or not the ring itself qualifies for a refund/exchange.

  • Requesting a resizing can add anything up to 5 business days to the despatch date of your ring.

As always, if you need any advice on ring sizes or resizing please don't hesitate to contact us at sales@jewels4life.com  and we'll do our best to help.
